Lovely to be back in beautiful Silverdale. Have so missed the tranquility and natural beauty of the area. The meadows are brimming with wild flowers including many orchids. A few hours sitting on the deck overlooking the lake brought us the reward of spotting a pair of kingfishers, a tern and the calls of water rail (which sound like squealing piglets) and reed warblers darting about in the reeds amongst us. Nature has been going about its daily business while we have all been locked away.
